How much would you pay to take away a measurable but not world-changing amount of time off the processing? Even prosumer creators of multimedia have found the gains in the production line have been huge. The performance of Apple’s ARM chips reduce the need for ‘get the biggest number for future proofing’. There will be a small subset of users that will need all the power that Apple will offer with the presumptively named M1X chip.
